The Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame hosted a book signing event promoting Hall of Fame inductee Max Williams’ new book, The Last Shot, on November 18, 2023. Williams, an Avoca native, now lives in the Dallas area and this recently published book chronicles Williams legacy from a basketball star and pioneer to his successful venture into the oil industry.
The event was a success and saw many visitors, several of which were classmates of Williams during his time in Avoca. Masters Champion Charles Coody even stopped by to talk with Max!
