Andrea Gilbreth McMinn, Abilene High, was a four-year letterman in cross country, track and soccer for the Eagles, earning 12 letters. Gilbreth McMinn was a two-time district champion in the 800-meter and was a three time regional qualifier in cross country. Also, she earned first-team all-district honors in soccer. But her soccer career really took off when she went to Hardin-Simmons, where she became one of the most dominant soccer players in school history. She was the American Southwest Conference co-freshman of the year in 1997 and was named to the all-ASC team in 1998, 1999 and 2000. She was the Cowgirls’ team offensive MVP as both a junior and senior and was a third-team NCAA all-region selection. As a senior, Gilbreth McMinn led the ASC in goals, points, shots on goal and game-winning goals. She currently holds the American Southwest Conference record for scoring at least one goals in 21 consecutive games. Gilbreth McMinn is still ranked fourth all-time in points scored with 173, third in goals with 70, second in shots on goal with 12 and had 14 game-winning goals during her collegiate career at Hardin-Simmons.
