Bob Groseclose
Groseclose, who grew up in Breckenridge, was the fourth coach from the glory years of the 1950s at Abilene High to join the Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame. Groseclose, who died in 2005 at age 82, won three state championships as track coach at Abilene High in 1954, 1959 and 1960. He left AHS to become the track coach at Northeast Louisiana (now known as Louisiana-Monroe), where he led the school to 19 conference championships from 1960-89. The tracks at both Abilene High and Louisiana-Monroe are named for Groseclose. Deceased
