Andrae Patterson
Patterson is considered the top basketball player to ever come out of the Big Country. The 6-9 Patterson was named Mr. Basketball for Class 5A in Texas as a senior at Cooper High School and was selected as a Parade All-American. He was a four-year starter for Bob Knight at Indiana University. Patterson, who was taken in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, spent three seasons in Minnesota before playing basketball in the European Professional Basketball League. Following his playing career, Patterson dove into the administrative side of basketball. Current, he is the Assistant General Manager for the Portland Trail Blazers.
