David Parks
Parks, a member of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, was an All-American receiver at Texas Tech after graduating from Abilene High in 1960. He was the first player picked in the 1964 National Football League draft. He played 10 years for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints. He earned All-Pro recognition several times and led the league in receiving. He was second in the NFL rookie-of-the-year voting in 1965.
