Art Briles

Briles was a star athlete at Rule High School, quarterback his team to the Class B state finals in 1973 and leading the track team to a state championship in 1974.  After head coaching stops at Hamlin and Georgetown, Briles engineered the “Decade of dominance” at Stephenville High School, compiling a 136-29-2 record in 12 seasons and winning four state championships.  After an assistant coaching stint at Texas Tech he became the head coach at the University of Houston. Briles is now the head coach at Baylor.
