Jerry Don Gleaton

Gleaton of Brownwood was an all-American pitcher for the University of Texas and was a first-round pick by the Texas Rangers in 1979.  The left-handed pitcher spent 12 years in the major leagues with the Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates.  He compiled a 15-23 record with a 4.25 earned run average, 265 strikeouts and 26 saves.  Gleaton appeared in 307 games, all but 16 out of the bullpen.
